Veterinarian

Dr. Fraulein Douglass

Dr. Fraulein Douglass obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2003 and graduated with honors in the Philippines. She practiced small animal medicine for seven years before moving to Texas to manage an emergency facility and working in the veterinary field for 10 years. She then completed her Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG) Program in 2018. Dr. Douglass then provided care in a small animal clinic in Katy before deciding to make her dream of opening up her own facility a reality.

As a Richmond veterinarian, Dr. Douglass is excited to serve and provide loving care to the pets throughout the Richmond area. Her special interests include diagnostics and critical care medicine. She also has a passion for serving the Filipino community. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family and her three rescued fur babies - Abby, Parsley, and Basil.

Dr. Laurel Douglass

Dr. Laurel Douglass grew up in the Houston Memorial area and has always been surrounded by family pets, including dogs, cats, and horses. She showed Saddlebred horses during her teenage years, gaining valuable life lessons from the horses she cared for.

Dr. Douglass attended Texas Christian University immediately after completing Memorial High School. Upon graduating with a BS in Business, she served seven years as a Captain in the United States Army Corps of Engineers. She became invested in medicine in 1991 after joining Pfizer Pharmaceuticals as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative. She returned to her love of animals in 1991 and dedicated her life to helping heal dogs and cats and assisting their owners in Indiana and Houston. Dr. Douglass obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine and moved back to Texas in 2004. She has been working as a Houston-area vet ever since.

Dr. Douglass has a special interest in emergency medicine and served as an emergency veterinarian for 11 years before returning to day practice. She has also completed extensive training in companion animal dentistry with Dr. Brett Beckmann and has a special interest in management and leadership skills. She is always implementing new ideas and researching the latest technology available to keep the clinic up-to-date.

Dr. Douglass is passionate about her work as a veterinarian in Richmond and dedicates time and effort to ensuring that all of her patients receive the best care available. Because of her time with the Army Corps of Engineers, she has a special passion for helping military families. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, exercising, and reading.
